When many women decide to lose weight, they simply ‘go on a diet’ but are often disappointed and frustrated with the results, as fad and starvation diets are unrealistic and do not work. What many people don’t realise is that humans will store fat as a contingency against times of famine so if you are starving yourself or do not eat regularly your body may fight to hold onto the fat. Helena believes that the most effective way to allow your body to feel safe to release body fat is to feed it regularly.
Helena likes to work with weights to change the body’s composition for a lean tones appearance. Weight training does not cause a woman to ‘bulk up’ but instead can build a tight and lean appearance. It is important to have a layer of muscle to help speed up the body’s metabolism. The act of increasing muscle increases the rate at which the body can metabolise energy and ultimately burn fat. Therefore, it is essential to have a good resistance training plan to run alongside any cardiovascular exercise. Cardio alone will not sculpt a great shape. Adding weight training to a fitness routine however, can sculpt a beautiful shape and tone.
Helena’s training method specifically targets certain muscle groups to achieve a small-waisted, feminine and toned physique.
